Mike Leichner was a full-time evangelist (Mike Leichner Ministries) for nine years. From 1980 through 1988 he traveled with his wife and children preaching 49-week revivals per year. He also incorporated a music ministry and his brothers joined him on many occasions to minister. Pastor Mike is a guitarist and traveled for years as a young man with his family a Southern Gospel group, The Singing Ledbetters.
